Sydney works with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, shame, identity-related stress, relationship challenges, and chronic illness. Many of her clients feel trapped in patterns of overthinking, perfectionism, self-criticism, or intrusive thoughts, seeking more than just symptom relief. Sydney helps clients develop deeper self-understanding, build self-trust, and foster a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Sydney believes therapy can be a place where clients show up as themselves, without masking, judgment, or pressure.

Her approach is grounded in relational and attachment-informed therapy and incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy and somatic interventions.

Sydney works from a culturally responsive, queer-affirming framework and tailors therapy to each person’s values, context, and lived experience. She is attentive to the ways identity, systems, and relationships shape psychological distress, and works collaboratively to help clients build both insight and practical capacity for change.

Sydney views therapy as a collaborative process that can lead to lasting healing and growth. She hopes to help clients identify old patterns, connect more deeply to themselves, and create lives that are authentic and meaningful.

What to Expect

What to ExpectTherapy with Sydney starts with warmth and curiosity. In working with her clients, she explores what brings them to therapy, what patterns may be keeping them stuck, and what goals feel most meaningful to them. Sydney is uniquely able to combine insight oriented work with practical support.

Depending on a client’s needs, therapy may involve understanding anxiety and the OCD cycle, processing shame and self-criticism, exploring attachment and relationship patterns, navigating identity-related concerns, or adapting to the emotional realities of chronic illness. She combines supportive collaboration with clear, honest feedback.

She does not view or treat clients as needing to be “fixed,” but as people doing their very best with the tools and experiences that they have.

Outside of Therapy

Sydney enjoys traveling, hiking, snorkeling, and exploring new places—especially anywhere near the ocean. She is passionate about queer advocacy, social justice, and environmental justice.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and her cats, Lucky and Lola, finding a good tea shop, watching the waves (or more accurately: looking for sea creatures), or unwinding with some Law & Order: SVU or Criminal Minds.
