Sydney believes therapy can be a place where clients show up as they are, without masking, judgment, or pressure to have everything figured out. She is warm and collaborative in her approach. Sydney really cares about creating space for both insight and meaningful change.
Sydney helps adults navigating anxiety, OCD, shame, identity-related stress, relationship challenges, and chronic illness. Many of her clients feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, perfectionism, or intrusive thoughts and are seeking more than symptom relief alone. Her work focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, develop self-trust, and build a more compassionate relationship with who they are.
Her approach is rooted in relational and attachment-based therapy, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and somatic interventions. She works from a culturally responsive and queer-affirming perspective, tailoring therapy to each client's unique experiences and goals.
Sydney views therapy as a collaborative process that supports lasting growth and healing. Her goal is to help clients understand longstanding patterns, deepen their connection to themselves, and create lives that feel authentic and meaningful.
What to Expect
Therapy with Sydney begins with curiosity. Together, she and her clients explore what is bringing them to therapy, the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and the goals that feel most meaningful to them.
She does not view clients as needing to be fixed, but as people doing their very best with the tools and experiences that they have.
Sydney balances insight-oriented work with practical support. Depending on a client's needs, therapy may involve understanding anxiety and OCD cycles, processing shame and self-criticism, exploring attachment and relationship patterns, navigating identity-related concerns, or adapting to the emotional realities of chronic illness. She offers direct feedback when helpful while maintaining a collaborative, supportive therapeutic relationship.
Sydney strives to create a space where clients feel safe showing up exactly as they are. Her goal is to help clients move beyond simply coping and toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and connection in their lives and relationships.
