Supervision Approach

Woman with brown hair wearing a purple shirt, partially turned, smiling slightly, standing indoors against a white wall.

I provide clinical supervision for Limited Licensed Professional Counselors (LLPCs) pursuing full licensure in the state of Michigan. My supervision model is integrative and developmentally informed, with an emphasis on ethical practice, self-awareness, sustainable self-care, professional identity, and strong clinical skills—alongside the cultivation of genuine, attuned therapeutic relationships.

Supervision with me is collaborative and flexible. I tailor my approach to your strengths, learning style, and professional goals, and allow it to evolve as you grow in your role as a clinician. In addition to clinical development, I support supervisees in building practical systems and workflows that actually work—so documentation, organization, and caseload management feel more manageable and less overwhelming over time.

Regardless of approach, you can expect me to be respectful, direct, kind, and receptive to feedback.

Ongoing Growth

Supervision with me is oriented toward helping you develop sound clinical judgment, professional self-trust, and the ability to reflect on your work over time. While supervision is not therapy, it does involve thoughtful attention to how your own responses, assumptions, social locations, and history may shape your clinical work—always in service of ethical practice and effectiveness.

The goal is not dependence on supervision, but growth toward autonomy. Over time, I support supervisees in strengthening their capacity to self-reflect, self-supervise, and use consultation intentionally, so they can continue developing as confident, grounded professionals beyond licensure.
