A remote, specialty-focused private practice for clinicians committed to LGBTQIA+ competent and evidence-based therapy for OCD and anxiety.

The Opportunity

Maytree Therapy is seeking a part-time/casual and fully-remote licensed or limited-licensed Michigan clinician (LPC, LMSW, LMFT) operating under their own LLC or PLLC to provide psychotherapy services as a 1099 independent contractor.

This role fits a clinician who:

  • Wants to practice part-time and remotely

  • Prefers focusing on clinical work rather than billing, credentialing, and marketing

  • Is comfortable building a caseload steadily and maintaining a minimum of 5 clients per week

  • Has strong interest or experience in OCD and anxiety treatment

  • Is trained in or actively developing competency in evidenced-based therapies for OCD and anxiety disorders

  • Provides affirming, clinically competent care to LGBTQIA2S+ clients

  • Practices with autonomy and strong clinical ownership

Contractors set their own hours and caseloads. Referrals depend on specialties and are built intentionally over time.

What Maytree Provides

  • 70/30 split (70% to clinician, 30% to practice)

    • Potential opportunity for 75/25 split after one year so long as requirements are consistently met

  • Specialty-aligned referrals

  • Full billing services and payment processing

  • Marketing and brand presence

  • EHR and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform (SimplePractice)

    • Includes: paperless intakes, Client Portal, appointment reminders, secure client messaging, group telehealth option, self-scoring screening tools, customizable notes, assessments, and treatment plans, Wiley treatment planner, and more

  • Administrative onboarding and risk management guidance

  • Optional but encouraged case consultation, mentoring, and training

Contractor Requirements + Responsibilities

  • Maintain active Michigan licensure in good standing

  • Operate as an LLC or PLLC in good standing

  • Maintain professional liability insurance

  • Practice within scope of licensure and Michigan law

  • Maintain a caseload of at least 5 clients per week

  • Contractors retain full clinical judgment and responsibility for all treatment decisions.

  • Complete timely documentation

  • Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, (a 1099 Form will be provided) and other professional dues

  • For limited-license clinicians: independently secure and maintain external supervision

  • Practice with inclusive, identity-affirming language

  • Deliver and thoughtfully adapt evidence-based treatments (including ERP)

  • Engage in ongoing training, consultation, and self-reflection

  • Provide care that is collaborative, respectful, and autonomy-supportive
